Applicability
EXPANCEL® microspheres are added to paints to lower their weight, give them better applicability and lower their tendency to splash when they are applied with a roller.
When added to putties, body fillers, spackling compounds, caulking and sealing compounds, EXPANCEL® microspheres give these substances a lower weight and a buttery or creamy consistency, making them easy to apply.

Adding EXPANCEL® microspheres to many materials leads to manufactured products with a smooth and even surface, without pinholes.

Finishing properties
Thanks to the presence of EXPANCEL® microspheres in many materials , any finishing processes as sanding, deflashing and grinding are easier to execute and less time-consuming.

Mechanical and physical properties
EXPANCEL® microspheres can withstand many cycles of loading/unloading. This characteristic is frequently used to make products withstand higher mechanical stress levels without being destroyed, while at the same time lowering their weight.
